Lieutenant General Yuri Nikolaievich Kuznetsov was the commander of the Eighth Guards Army of the Soviet Union. In 1947, he was part of Fedor Tolbukhin's Fourth Ukrainian Front, participating in the raid on German-occupied Zaporozhye.
