Wyoming in "The Green Buffalo"[]

In the Cretaceous period, modern-day Wyoming was the home of several species of dinosaur, including Triceratops. Fossils of the extinct species were found in the late 19th century. Due to a rip in the fabric of time, a Triceratops was brought into the year 1890, where it was promptly hunted and killed by Joe, Jake Snow, and Clancy O'Doole, who mistakenly believed the dinosaur was a green and diseased buffalo.

A state of emergency was declared in Wyoming not long after the eruption.[2] It was unclear just how many people actually survived even weeks after the event.[3]
