Whiskery Ambrose was a Detinan general loyal to King Avram. During the Detinan Civil War, he led a major offensive into southern Parthenia Province. His army was badly defeated by Duke Edward of Arlington's Army of Southern Parthenia. He was never again trusted with so important a command.
However, he was allowed to command a small southron force that took Wesleyton, Franklin Province, while the Army of Franklin was busy besieging Rising Rock. Eventually, James of Broadpath's wing, late of the Army of Southern Parthenia, engaged Ambrose at Wesleyton. Ambrose defeated him.
Literary Comment[]
Whiskery Ambrose is based on General Ambrose Burnside, who lent his name to his distinctive side whiskers, or sideburns.
