Vietnam, officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by China to the north, Laos to the northwest, and Cambodia to the southwest. On the country's east coast lies the South China Sea. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was a French colony. A notorious war was fought there in the mid 20th century.

Vietnam in Crosstime Traffic[edit | edit source]

In the home timeline, Vietnam defeated Italy in the World Cup finals of 2086. A referee missed an obvious off-side call during the game, costing Italy the game with a final score of 2-1.[1]

Vietnam in The Gladiator[edit | edit source]

The United States' decision to remove troops from Vietnam in 1968 was a critical signal that the US was not so resolute in fighting the Cold War. By the end of the 20th Century, the Soviet Union was victorious and the world had embraced Marxist-Leninist-Stalinism.[2]
