Videssos Besieged (Del Rey, 1998) is the final volume of The Time of Troubles series in the Videssos universe. It was reprinted along with The Thousand Cities in The Time of Troubles II by Baen in 2005.
Maniakes, Avtokrator of Videssos, prepares to defend Videssos the city from a Makuraner-Kubrati siege. Meanwhile, the Makuraner supreme commander, Marshal Abivard, believes that Sharbaraz, King of Kings of Makuran, sees Abivard as a potential rival for the throne and seeks his death.
