Tula in The Hot War[]
As a consequences of the destruction wreaked by World War III, Tula became an important city for the Soviet Union in early 1952.[1] The Tula air base was one of the few still intact when the war ended in July, 1952. The missions that flew out from the base after the war were designed to bring Soviet satellites back in line.[2]
