Trapani was the capital of the Kingdom of Algarve. It was the seat of power for King Mezentio of Algarve. Trapani was home to a university, the Royal Cultural Museum, and several theaters. In the Six Years' War, Trapani was the target of Algarve's opponents and in the end of the Derlavaian War, was virtually destroyed by fierce fighting. Rebuilding soon began under the supervision of Unkerlant, who made Trapani the capital of West Algarve.
