Todor (1520s - c. 1546) was a young man from the Bulgarian village of Gramada. While on a hunting expedition into the woods outside the village with his cousins Petko and Georgi, Todor ran ahead of them and was ambushed and murdered by men from Kula. Todor bled substantially as he died. Some time later, the blood gave birth to a Vurkolak, which terrorized Gramada.
