Tijuana montage-1-

Tijuana is a city in Baja California, Mexico on the Pacific coast, adjacent to the U.S. city of San Diego, California. It is Mexico's westernmost city, and has long been notorious for its permissiveness regarding illicit pleasures.

The name Tijuana is believed to derive from the Kumeyaay name Tiwan ("by the sea"), but was misinterpreted by Spanish-speaking people as Tia Juana (Aunt Jane/Joan). Originally applied to a river, the name Tijuana was applied to the city founded in 1889. English-speaking people sometimes shorten the name to TJ, pronounced "teejay."

Tijuana in Southern Victory[]

The U.S. Navy bombarded Tijuana in 1942 during the Second Great War.[1] The U.S. successfully occupied the whole of Baja California the following year.[2]

Tijuana in The Valley-Westside War[]

Teejay (TJ for short) was a nation with which The Valley had some contact.[3]
