Thettalos was an Athenian poltitican and opponent of Alcibiades, actively seeking his recall from the Sicilian campaign during the Peloponnesian War. Aside from this, however, his role in history seems to be generally minor.

Thettalos in "The Daimon"[]

Thettalos was an Athenian statesman and opponent of Alkibiades. He arranged for Alkibiades to be charged with heresy. However, after Alkibiades defeated Syracuse and Sparta, he had substantial support from his military for the conquest of Athens. Alkibiades personally captured Thettalos and his co-conspirator, Androkles, who yielded and were spared.[1]
