Theodore Sturgeon in Worldwar[]

Much of Theodore Sturgeon's early work appeared in the pulp magazines Sam Yeager was fond of reading. In turn, Yeager was able to turn his past-time into a career when Earth was invaded by the Race's Conquest Fleet in 1942.

In the 1950s, Yeager made a point of having his picture taken, while in his Army captain's uniform, with Sturgeon and Robert A. Heinlein, another of Yeager's favorite science fiction writers.[1]
