"The Field of Double Sowing" is a short story by Harry Turtledove, originally published in War World, Volume II: Death's Head Rebellion, edited by Jerry Pournelle, John F. Carr & Roland Green, Baen 1990, and later incorporated into the novel Blood Feuds. It is set in Pournelle's War World Series.
The story is a science fiction retelling of the Athenian tragedy play Oedipus Rex by Sophocles.
