At the time I had read the book, I had wondered what to do about the historical characters. Googling found me the bits from Velleius so I thought about doing an article about him and his fragments about these characters. However, other things came up before I did anything and I moved on to other stories. TR's work on the template inspired me to do today's work.

Arminius is the main German POV with almost half the book but there are a few from Segestes, the father of the woman he eloped with. On the Roman side, Publius Quinctilius Varus and Lucius Eggius have the main POVs as counterpoints to the opposite Roman opinions about Arminius. Caldus Caelius supplies a few POVs during the occupation and he and Vala Numonius supply POVs of the battle itself and for their own deaths. Augustus provides an couple of epilogue type POVs alternating with Arminius and Segestes after the battle.

It seems to me that they should be all added to the list of characters. Should it be in order of importance or in alphabetic? ML4E 23:04, June 6, 2011 (UTC)

Alphabetical has been the default (I think--Atlantis might be a little different). So I'd go with that. TR 01:11, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

All right then. I did notice you had Varus first and since he and Arminius are the heads of the two opposing forces, I left them that way. The rest are alphabetic. ML4E 19:44, June 9, 2011 (UTC)

I changed the color to Roman Silver, BTW. TR (talk) 18:04, November 14, 2019 (UTC)
