The color is "opium".  I couldn't help myself.  Obviously, if HT favors us with a story about the Opium Wars, or even about the opium trade in general, we'll revist the issue.  TR (talk) 21:05, August 30, 2013 (UTC)

Very fitting. In my head I know that opium is a rather ugly shade of brown (a good deal darker and more solid than this one, I believe) but in my gut I always associate it with white or indigo. Turtle Fan (talk) 05:39, August 31, 2013 (UTC)
I actually do a similar thing. Probably because powdered heroin is usually white or a lighter color. TR (talk) 05:49, August 31, 2013 (UTC)
As is cocaine. I guess we assume all drugs should be.
I can't help thinking that the color we imagine somehow invokes the exotic sensory thrills an opium high is supposed to produce, while its actual color reflects the dinginess of the places where it was usually smoked. Turtle Fan (talk) 05:59, August 31, 2013 (UTC)
