"Earth yellow", btw. Yes, despite its brown appearance, it is a yellow.TR (talk) 15:52, July 21, 2014 (UTC)

I think a shade of blue might be more appropriate for this novel, due to the fur color of the main Foitani tribe that interacts with Basil Argyros in drag. The earth yellow seems better suited to Noninterference, which has crucial scenes set in the streets of a filthy Bronze Age city (even though the city isn't on Earth).Matthew Babe Stevenson (talk) 19:13, November 10, 2019 (UTC)
I'll take it under advisement, but I think pinning Earthfall to one detail of one part of one story is reductive. TR (talk) 21:43, November 10, 2019 (UTC)
There are also blue monkey people in the Sherlock Holmes section.Matthew Babe Stevenson (talk) 09:07, November 11, 2019 (UTC)
Again, that's a random detail. TR (talk) 16:17, November 11, 2019 (UTC)
Another point, the template is locked. The list of POVs is incomplete. The first story has POVs by Jennifer's shipmates, and also the Genghis Khan giant talking bug (forgot name) who is the main bad guy of that section.Matthew Babe Stevenson (talk) 21:21, November 11, 2019 (UTC)
That's because I want to make sure you don't decide to die on the "color this template blue" hill. TR (talk) 22:39, November 11, 2019 (UTC)

<bump> So Matthew is not happy with "Earth yellow" here. ML4E (talk) 22:29, February 25, 2020 (UTC)

As you might have gathered from my responses, I am perfectly happy with earth yellow here. TR (talk) 22:40, February 25, 2020 (UTC)
I see no reason to change it. Turtle Fan (talk) 15:14, February 26, 2020 (UTC)

I only mention it because Matthew used the same color elsewhere as discussed in Template Talk: Noninterference. He does give alternative possibilities for Noninterference so Earthgrip shall remain "Earth yellow". ML4E (talk) 20:09, February 26, 2020 (UTC)

I think it makes more sense to have the eventual article title be Atheter rather than Atheters.Matthew Babe Stevenson (talk) 07:52, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

Looking through Category:Alien Races I see we're all over the map on this one. It seems the majority of aliens have a collective name, like Krolp or The Race. Of those that don't, we've got some where the article title is the singular, like Haldol and Minervan, and others where it's plural, like Rabotevs and Foitani. We should standardize on one or the other, so MBS, if you believe they should all be singular, go ahead and make the case. Turtle Fan (talk) 14:25, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
Making them all singular is probably best.Matthew Babe Stevenson (talk) 17:08, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
My, what a compelling argument. If that's all you've got I feel like pushing for all plural just on principle. Turtle Fan (talk) 18:41, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
I'll argue for singular naming for aliens races as we already use singular for Earth creatures, e.g. human not humans, wolf, not wolves etc. Even fictional creatures, like Sasquatch and Red-crested eagle are listed as singular, not plural. Reviewing the aliens, it appears that we have slightly more listed under singular than plural, as well as several where the singular is the same as the plural. TR (talk) 19:25, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
See MBS, that's all you had to say! Turtle Fan (talk) 14:17, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
Bump for other opinions. TR (talk) 17:02, 2 October 2021 (UTC)

Sorry, I didn't have an opinion either way. It does make sense to make the articles singular. ML4E (talk) 17:54, 4 October 2021 (UTC)

Let's go singular then. MBS, you're very lucky that TR made the case for you when you didn't bother doing so yourself. Turtle Fan (talk) 20:17, 4 October 2021 (UTC)
