Ted Snodgrass was the husband of Ethel Snodgrass, and the cousin-in-law of Myrtle Bentley. He played host to Myrtle and her granddaughter, Beckie Royer in 2097 when they visited Elizabeth, Virginia. Unlike Myrtle and Ethel, Ted took the time to connect with Beckie.
Snodgrass was an avid coin and stamp collector. Thus, he had a solid relationship with Charleston Coin and Stamp Company manager Randolph Brooks, who visited Snodgrass the day after Virginia declared war on its neighbor, Ohio.
Snodgrass took certain steps to protect his home, including digging trenches around it. However, the household was unprepared for the tailored measles virus Ohio released into Virginia. That virus eventually claimed Ethel, leaving Ted adrift. When Randy Brooks decided to head back to Charleston ahead of Ohio's advance on Elizabeth, he took Myrtle and Beckie with him. Ted preferred to stay.
