FYI, Dabney's spouse, Douglas Harrison Chelf, was indeed a woman. I became curious when I saw that. I can't pin down the history behind the name, but Willie Douglas was her mom's name, so it appears "Douglas" had some history as a name for girl children.
It has precisely no relevance to the article itself, beyond addressing the question of whether or not Virginius Dabney belongs in the LGBT cat. TR (talk) 19:45, October 27, 2016 (UTC)
