Actually, I don't know what this series is about. Anyone? -Baiter
- And to think his position here was as prominent back in the day as mine is now. No wonder this place sucked ass before we got here. Turtle Fan 16:42, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
Redirecting and disambigging[]
I'm tempted to erase the Baiter comment, but I think it serves a purpose.
- See above. It lets us feel good about ourselves for turning this place around. Turtle Fan 16:42, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
Any objection to moving this to "Videssos Series" and then creating a disambiguation page. I'm tiptoeing around this category as I'm really not familiar with it. TR 15:34, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
- That would be appropriate. We've got the Videssos Series, that never-ending beast; Videssos the City, which is how they awkwardly refer to it, at least in the three books I've read; the Empire of Videssos; and ethnic Videssians, though I suppose they need not be covered by the disambig due to the different word form. List of stories/novels[]
This page needs lists of all stories and novels in both publication order and chronological order. This is a complex matter and I am uncertain of it.JonathanMarkoff (talk) 21:15, May 31, 2017 (UTC)
- This is covered in the Bibliography#The Videssos Series. I don't see a need for that to be re-created here although a "See Also" with the biblio link might be useful. ML4E (talk) 21:57, May 31, 2017 (UTC)
The Bibliography is pretty obscure and not the first instinct to look for, when one is looking for basic info about a specific series. This page seems a more likely choice. And the chronological order is not in the Biblio.JonathanMarkoff (talk) 21:59, May 31, 2017 (UTC)
- That's silly. The Biblio is an obvious place to look. As for chronological order, the template should provide that. Turtle Fan (talk) 06:15, June 1, 2017 (UTC)
- I'm on the fence. We have done this with other multivolume works, thought I can't say 100% of the time. TR (talk) 21:45, June 1, 2017 (UTC)
- "The Bibliography is pretty obscure ..." Not especially, but that's why I suggested a "See Also" sub-section. In addition, the novels listed there are pretty much in chronological order. Only the short stories, listed separately, are out of order. But year of publication are provided so it wouldn't take much mental effort to plug them into order. ML4E (talk) 16:05, June 2, 2017 (UTC)
