I think the text of this entry would work better in the Roloxan entry. TR 23:21, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Maybe paragraphs two and three but leave an outline. Why don't you make the changes you feel necessary and then I'll comment on them. ML4E 23:27, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

More Roloxani[]

According to the main HT site, there was another Roloxani short story. TR 04:36, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I took a look and the story would be "Herbig-Haro". I will see if the TPL has a copy of "Imperial Stars I: The Stars ay (sic) War". If so, then I'll see what I can do with it. ML4E 02:22, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

If not, the DPL has Analog on microfilm stretching back to at least 1983. I wouldn't mind investing a few dimes. TR 04:45, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

I checked and the TPL has a copy in the Merrill SF Reference library which means I can read it in their reading room but not borrow the book for home use. Since they also have several of the War World story collections, I was intending to drop in anyway so I should get to it in a few weeks. 209.197.167.23 20:37, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, forgot to login. it is definitely me ;) ML4E 20:39, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Similarities[]

This new addition seems a stretch to me. The WW aliens are more advanced technologically in all ways, not just space travel and theology is irrelevant. And the Race correctly knew Earth was primitive from its probe from 800 years earlier, they just underestimated the rate of advancement humans would have. ML4E (talk) 19:17, September 11, 2016 (UTC)

"Primitive theology"...I don't think "theology" means what Jonathan thinks it means.
I agree with ML4E, the similarities are superficial at best. The most boiled down similarity is that both the Roxolani and the Race assumed everyone followed the same path of technological development they did. That's not exactly unique to HT. TR (talk) 19:31, September 11, 2016 (UTC)
Also, they both start with an R.
These things are only worth bringing up if two unrelated stories are so similar that there'd be a real danger of confusing them. "Islands in the Sea" and In High Places might qualify, or "Shtetl Days" and ItPoME. If it's not that close, let's delete these on sight. You know how loosely Jonathan defines things, we'll be up to our eyeballs in tenuous "similarities" if we don't. Turtle Fan (talk) 03:56, September 12, 2016 (UTC)
