So, yeah, for a larf I entered the story's title into my browser, and found the entire thing on-line at Google books. I'll be putting it in my favorites. I must say, the prospect of having articles on a story that has never been reprinted is quite lovely. TR 22:46, April 25, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, yes, that will be wonderful. Turtle Fan 23:17, April 25, 2011 (UTC)

This story leads me to think that we might want to somehow catagorize works by setting, particularly as to when they are set. We have the USSR bopping around in 2003, in a story written over 20 years ago. It might reduce some confusion. TR 18:51, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

So we need Stories Set in the 21st Century, etc? I could see some merit in that. Really, anything that groups similar stories is worth doing. They have a tendency to run together after a while. Turtle Fan 03:10, April 29, 2011 (UTC)
Something like that. We have sufficient stories to fill every century from the 15th century until the 22nd Century, although in the interest of parallelism, we might create a few one-article categories here and there. I suggest we call each category "Works Set in the ____ Century". Obviously, one or two will be double-tapped, like GW (19th and 20th Centuries), or this story (15th and 21st) but I don't see a problem with that.
Yes, that all sounds fine. Maybe with multi-generational stories like Atlantis, 191, and Worldwar, it would be better to assign each installment to the relative category and keep the master article above the fray. Turtle Fan 23:43, April 29, 2011 (UTC)
We should also consider grouping by countries, e.g. "Works that Use______ as a Setting". And by setting, I mean a POV actually spends a few pages doing something of note in that country, not just receiving a phone call from a friend in another country. TR 15:14, April 29, 2011 (UTC)
"Works Set in ________" might be a more eloquent title and, more importantly, would do a better job of telegraphing that it only counts if significant action occured there. Turtle Fan 23:43, April 29, 2011 (UTC)

Nice little short story. First thing by HT I read in years. Jelay14 23:29, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

Genre?[]

I just read an online bootleg of this (it beats me why it hasn't been reprinted) and it seems more fantasy than sf.JonathanMarkoff (talk) 09:56, September 24, 2016 (UTC)

That's pretty fair. I think I focused on the "future" setting when I categorized, but the "king under the mountain" is more of a fantasy element, and more important to the story than its time period. TR (talk) 14:49, September 24, 2016 (UTC)

I'm surprised HT missed the opportunity to show the Greek soldiers locked in combat with a Turk who shouts "It's Istanbul not Constantinople!"JonathanMarkoff (talk) 05:35, September 26, 2016 (UTC)
