The reason I made it with a lower-case "war" is because, in the one instance in the book that it's stated (at least that I recall), it's given as a lower-case W. Cosmic Robonaut 22:31, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh. Well, we can change it back. TR 22:32, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Huh. Wish I'd checked this. That sounds like it could be a typo, though. Turtle Fan 04:50, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

I did a search inside. It's not a typo. TR 19:11, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Oh well. I just assumed it was a typo here. I see you once made the same mistake.
I wonder why they're taking such liberties with formatting in the V-WSW timeline. Turtle Fan 20:38, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Oh sh!t, I should have read this first. It might be lower case "w" because that is an informal name talking about a "war between the Russians and Americans". So, should I go and change things back? ML4E (talk) 23:34, July 12, 2016 (UTC)

Might as well. We both did. Turtle Fan (talk) 00:22, July 13, 2016 (UTC)

Title[]

Was "Russian-American War" actually used in the novel?

The discussion answers the question. TR (talk) 15:18, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

This is another candidate for adding the title of the novel to the article title, especially since HT has plenty of Russian-American wars in his oeuvre. We could have Russian-American War as a disambig page similar to WW3.Matthew Babe Stevenson (talk) 07:23, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

World War III (The Hot War) is the only other "Russian-American" war I can think of. What does everyone else think? 15:18, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
There's also the briefly mentioned World War VI but even so I'm not really convinced that a disambig page is needed. GusF (talk) 16:46, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
Looking at Category:Wars (Alternate Timeline), I see nothing that would lead to confusion. Again, Matthew is talking as though users will see the article name at random rather than in the story category and so need the story name in the article name to understand what it is about. Nonsense. ML4E (talk) 22:43, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
