William Hardee in Southern Victory[]

On HFR p. 121 HC. (ch. 5), TR reflects that Hardee's manual is invaluable, even if he was a Rebel. I think that merits a lit ref.JonathanMarkoff (talk) 11:12, January 24, 2019 (UTC)

I think it merits nothing. ML4E (talk) 19:05, January 24, 2019 (UTC)
Maybe a passing one--though I also think that it's quite a stretch to call a technical manual literature. Turtle Fan (talk) 05:50, January 25, 2019 (UTC)
I still don't think it merits a mention but if it is decided to include the reference, I think Hist. Fig. would be more appropriate, not literature. Its Hardee's thoughts on military matters that is important rather than how its presented. ML4E (talk) 21:02, January 25, 2019 (UTC)
I agree, a Hist Ref if anything. Turtle Fan (talk) 07:14, January 27, 2019 (UTC)
Further thoughts. His manual was written for the U.S. Army in 1855, well before the POD so I don't think it merits consideration that way either. ML4E (talk) 23:29, January 25, 2019 (UTC)
