Trying to decide if this article needs an OTL explanation or not. Obviously, there won't be a Reichstag election in 2011, since the Reichstag went away with the Nazis. The current Bundestag election is scheduled for 2013, provided "nothing bad happens."

But I don't see either of those points adding much to the article. TR 22:43, March 21, 2011 (UTC)

I'm torn between commitment to our policy of in-universe writing and our policy of maintaining consistent formatting among similar articles.
Actually, we might want to come up with an across-the-board policy on such conflicts. They're liable to turn up in all sorts of odd places. Turtle Fan 02:00, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
I suppose adherring to the first policy is much easier than the second. Consistent formatting isn't always going to be possible, as demonstrated by the elections category: we can't have OTL sections on the POTCS elections, obviously. Since there just can't be a Reichstag election in 2011, then perhaps leaving well enough alone is the best course.
Yes, likely. Turtle Fan 05:21, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
There might come a time when we revisit this: if HT throws a 1940 general election in the UK at us during the course of TWTPE, it will probably be worth pointing out "Oh, yeah, this didn't happen in OTL" to keep away hit-and-runners if nothing else. TR 04:48, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
That would be best. Turtle Fan 05:21, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
Well so much for that, but the point stands. Maybe we will need to address it in THW. ML4E (talk) 18:43, September 13, 2015 (UTC)
I suspect you're right. I feel like Churchill's return is almost inevitable at this point. TR (talk) 19:41, September 13, 2015 (UTC)
^And now so much for this. I suppose HT could finally drop a few different elections around Vol 3. Britain, France, Germany (in whatever form it winds up) will probably be needing to take stock after the war is over. If any of the East Bloc pull off their coups, they might also have elections, but I suspect we'll see anti-communist strong men for a while. TR (talk) 15:10, October 3, 2016 (UTC)
Don't forget the US Presidential (and Congressional/Senate) elections in whatever form they take in 1952. ML4E (talk) 18:38, October 3, 2016 (UTC)
Well d'oh. After posting this I remembered we already do that with US elections and this discussion is about those for other counties. Never mind, move along, nothing to see here. ML4E (talk) 18:46, October 3, 2016 (UTC)
