No WWII means none of Butch O'Hare's incredible heroics, unless there was something else going on at the time and he happened to be a hero in that timeline as well. Improbable as all Hell. The name should not be the same. Turtle Fan 01:39, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed. Neither should JFK and MLK be around. HT was pretty up front this wasn't his most plausible work.
- That having been said, I suppose T2G could use an inconsistency. TR 01:51, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
- I don't mind historical figures born after the PoD popping up; I know it stretches belief, but I find it enjoyable. Especially since it allows us to create interesting articles. But the O'Hare thing for some reason annoys me. Though I suppose it also allows us to create an interesting article. We could write about Butch O'Hare (he really was an impressive figure) but that would seem to stretch the speculation policy.
- If T2G needs an inconsistency it could be that the crown is being worn by Edward's non-existent descendants. Had Edward held or regained the throne, Elizabeth would have been next in line at the time of his death anyway. She just would have been a little older when she started and wouldn't have had the opportunity to rewrite the record books for monarchical longevity. Turtle Fan 02:21, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
OTL[]
I think this could be converted to an article about O'Hare Airport in OTL, with "O'Hare Airport in The Two Georges" as a subarticle.JonathanMarkoff (talk) 19:29, February 9, 2016 (UTC)
- I am inclined not to because, aside from the tweeness, the two are quite different facilities. However, I don't feel strongly one way or the other, so I am interested it the opinion of everyone else. ML4E (talk) 21:50, February 9, 2016 (UTC)
- I feel the same as you, perhaps a touch more strongly, for the same reason. Also, that conflation strikes me as being inconsistent with the strict constructionism that Jonathan's trying to impose on the T2G category all of a sudden. Turtle Fan (talk) 03:26, February 10, 2016 (UTC)
