I'm thinking this should be changed to an article on The Crimson Brand, and Nathaniel Hawthorne reassigned to a lit ref, because we can't say for sure that Mr. Hawthorne of Atlantis is Nathaniel. He could be the analog Naphtali Hawthorne.JonathanMarkoff (talk) 21:19, February 25, 2017 (UTC)

The Crimson Brand was a one-off pun that would engender an anemic article that revealed next to nothing about Atlantis, especially since HT's penchant for puns is well established. Conversely, the Hawthorne page reveals at least fairly specific bit of information about that timeline, especially in a story where John James Audubon and Edward Harris are pointedly and recognizably themselves.
