Well this sets back 6000 a bit. Still, better to do it legitimately. Turtle Fan 01:54, June 3, 2011 (UTC)
On format, we have some sub-sections with the story the character appears in fully stated and as a link to the book article. Others are initials of the book title without the link. I think we should standardize but on which? Whatever we decide should also apply to other, multi-volume works. ML4E (talk) 21:48, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
- Kind of the downside of a work in progress. Ideally, what should happen is the first time a book is mentioned, then it gets the full title. Subsequently, the initials should be used.
- So for example:
Character A[]
(Hitler's War)
Character D[]
(West & East)
Character Q[]
(HW)
- Obviously, since this page is growing, and characters aren't introduced in alphabetical order, we aren't as consistently following that pattern as we could. TR (talk) 21:58, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
- That's how I've been doing it. Of course, if the final scene of CdE introduces us to Mr Aaron, I doubt I'd bother to find the formerly-first alphabetical CdE character and changing it accordingly.
- Something else we could try is making [[HW]], [[W&E]], [[TBS]], and [[CdE]] redirects to their respective novels. Turtle Fan (talk) 00:09, August 4, 2012 (UTC)
Given the redirects are listed in the "Characters" cat, people will be popping in here directly. Perhaps we should use full names and links throughout? ML4E (talk) 00:13, August 4, 2012 (UTC)
