- Haven't read it, just going from the descriptions here. He's done similar slice-of-life stories, but they all pack some genre-specific twist or punch. This just sounds pointlessly boring. - It pretty obviously has autobiographical elements, so it's certainly personal to him, anyway. It's nothing special, but I could appreciate it at that level. I've written one or two bits of things like that. I doubt the public would give a shit were I fortunate enough to become a professional writer, but, my wife kind of liked them.
