I was skeptical about the value of the article when I saw the title but it's really quite good. It needs categories, though. Not even sure which Crosstime category to put it into. Do we have a Clothing category, and if we don't is one viable? Turtle Fan 04:04, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
- I added to Xtime for now. This article uses the specific example of GE, but CN also includes a passing "fur is murder" sentiment. TR 18:47, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
- Unless there are huge advances in synthetic materials in the 21st century--and I suppose there could be--fur is unlikely to become universally despised. It remains your best option for hats and collars, if not full coats, in very cold conditions.
- Or so I tell myself. I find the "Fur is murder" people irritating. Turtle Fan 00:53, April 5, 2010 (UTC)
- Given the discussion under Xtimes, I added the "Customs" category since anti-fur sentiment seems to fit. I used to have a winter jacket lined with synthetic fur that was quite warm. However, Toronto is hardly the high artic.

- Average winter temperatures are on the low side but not Arctic, no.
- I've got a rabbit-fur hat--one of the ones with the ear flaps that you can fasten under your chin or up above the hat if it warms up a bit. In the mid-Atlantic it's only necessary a few nights a year, though it's served me well on various sojourns to colder places. I've seen plenty of the same format using synthetics but never one that was anywhere near so warm. Turtle Fan 01:13, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
