I think I know what battle this is analogous to, but want to make certain before writing the article. It appears to be the Battle of Fort Sanders, in which case HT was extremely clever with the pun. The fort was renamed from Fort Loudon after a recently killed General named William P. Sanders (1833-1863). By coincidence, William Sanders (1942-2017) was an author of speculative fiction whose work appears alongside HT's in Alternate Generals, Chicks in Chainmail, and several other anthologies. Have I got it right?Matthew Babe Stevenson (talk) 08:40, May 24, 2019 (UTC)

I don't know, but what you say makes sense. If Sanders was Wili )or more likely Willy) to those who knew him personally, I guess you'd have it. Turtle Fan (talk) 14:07, May 24, 2019 (UTC)
