About the apparent double catting: I'm treating "Golem" as the species, and "Golem (In This Season)" as the individual golem who appears in the story. If we had separate cats for ITS and ITS characters, the individual would go in the characters cat, and the species would remain in the all-purpose cat. Some day, all the ITS characters will have their entries, so the split will take place then.JonathanMarkoff (talk) 21:55, August 1, 2016 (UTC)

If you're going to draw that distinction, separate articles should be used. Or at a minimum, some language inserted into the one article to make it clear.
Don't bet on us completing ITS, by the way. We've been at this ten years without that story ever having been remotely close to a top priority. Turtle Fan (talk) 04:42, August 2, 2016 (UTC)
Yes, I keep thinking I'll just pound that one out, and I never do. It's perfectly good little story, but it's one of those that lead me to wonder if maybe certain short works should just be a couple of catch-all articles, like "Characters Appearing in ITS" rather than pages for each and every family member, 90% of whom don't rise above stock status.
Anyway, I'm rambling. TR (talk) 04:45, August 2, 2016 (UTC)
I don't think the double cating is necessary. Put the appropriate cats in the main article. ML4E (talk) 21:54, August 2, 2016 (UTC)

Death[]

A Golem is animated inanimate matter so I am unsure that "Death" is an appropriate category. However, I have included that and "Birth" in the template for now. ML4E (talk) 20:37, September 2, 2016 (UTC)

We cant really be sure that Emes was created in 1939. He might have already existed for a few years, the story doesn't say.JonathanMarkoff (talk) 21:08, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
The impression I have from the articles is that Emes was created specifically for the purpose of saving the three Jewish families. A golem running around Poland for a few years would have been noticed by history but one sent out for a short mission like this would not. However, I read the story when Counting came out so have little recollection of it. ML4E (talk) 21:46, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
That issue isn't addressed. It's best to leave it blank.JonathanMarkoff (talk) 22:10, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
