It was interesting reading that book and remembering all the talking points from the Bush years on both sides of the Iraq War debate rehashed. Especially since I found myself on the opposite side of where I was OTL in the 2000s.

- Indeed. The real takeaway for me from that contrast was the rather regrettable conclusion that a politician's stance on interventionism/isolationism has less to do with either ideology or pragmatism than it does with opportunism and group-think.
