I wondered why this article talks about the Cretaceous–Paleogene (K–Pg) extinction event while we have the K-T Extinction. According to Wikipedia, the "Tertiary" in "Cretaceous–Tertiary" is a now obsolete term for the subsequent period. However, it is still in wide use. Should we rename K-T? It's akin to the Colorado Mesa University thing in "Vilcabamba". "Before the Beginning" uses K-T Extinction, so we'd need to leave a redirect, but I think precision is its own end. TR (talk) 21:30, December 20, 2019 (UTC)
I was thinking of changing the header but leaving the sub-section alone. The header would explain the name change so the reason for the different name in the sub-section would be clear. ML4E (talk) 16:37, December 21, 2019 (UTC)
