"Hopelessly outmatched in the warm climate [of Burma], the Army of India was driven westward"

I know that's what happened in the book, but it's utter bullshit. Say the Lizards beat the Army of India because of more advanced weapons technology, or air superiority, or just about anything; but the climate? In North Africa, perhaps, but not in Burma!! If I recall correctly, the campaign in question would have taken place during what is continental SE Asia's monsoon season, and when it's not raining it's humid as all hell. Remember in HB when they go to that port city, where the guide says that everyone there keeps coming down with the purple itch (whatever that is, though I guess there's a chance the spores or whatever aren't present on Earth) and that it was among the least desirable addresses on all of Home?

To the extent that climate gives an advantage, it's a Tosevite advantage. Which brings me to my next point: These are Indians, not Eskimoes. Burmese weather is not that different for them. Less still once they got pushed into India itself. If Indians don't know how to fight in an Indian climate-- Turtle Fan 05:26, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

I blame my self for not wording that properly. I'll fix it up. Mr Nelg

I wasn't blaming you, Nelg. I was blaming HT. He did invoke climate, didn't he? Turtle Fan 13:25, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, I knew you weren't blaming me. Again, another incident where I didn't word my response carefully. What I meant was pretty much what TR just said. After you talked about the warm climate, I wasn't too sure myself. I also put believe that possibly that many units of the Indian Army revolted, which is why I put the mention of the revolt in there. Maybe that why the Army of India was force out of most of India. Mr Nelg

From quick searches via Amazon, I'm no 100% certain that he did, actually. TR 15:16, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
Oh. I thought I remembered it, once I'd read it. Turtle Fan 23:30, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
