Tadeusz Czuma was a fisherman of Puck, Poland. In December 1939, his vessel, the Pilsudski, was stolen from him for a good cause, i.e., the evacuation of the town's Jewish community to Sweden ahead of the Holocaust.[1]
The refugees' leader, Berel Friedman, quickly learned that Czuma was a very bad housekeeper with terrible hygiene.[2]
