Stockholm is the capital and the largest city of Sweden. It is the site of the national Swedish government, the Riksdag, and the official residence of both the Swedish monarch and the prime minister.

Founded circa 1250, Stockholm has long been one of Sweden's cultural, media, political, and economic centers.

Stockholm in The War That Came Early[]

Peggy Druce traveled to Stockholm, Sweden in late 1939, after Denmark was invaded by Germany. She was effectively trapped in Stockholm for the remainder of 1939, but was finally able to return to the United States in 1940.
