The Papal Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican City or simply Saint Peter's Basilica, is a church of the Italian High Renaissance located in Vatican City, an independent microstate enclaved within the city of Rome, Italy. It was initially planned in the 15th century by Pope Nicholas V and then Pope Julius II to replace the ageing Old St. Peter's Basilica, which was built in the fourth century by Roman emperor Constantine I. Construction of the present basilica began on 18 April 1506 and was completed on 18 November 1626.

The dome of Berlin's Great Hall, built in 1950 to celebrate Germany's victory over Britain and Russia in the Second World War, reached 220 meters into the sky and was more than 250 meters across, large enough to fit sixteen St. Peter's cathedrals inside.[1]

St. Peter's Basilica in "Under St. Peter's"[]

A secret chamber below St. Peter's was the prison of Jesus, who'd been transformed into a vampire shortly after crucifixion. The Order of the Pipistrelle built this chamber under the direction of St. Peter himself. Both Old St. Peter's and new basilica were built atop the chamber, which was accessed by a secret entrance under a disc that marked the spot where Charlemagne was coronated. The Order of the Pipistrelle guarded this chamber, which was visited by each new Pope, who gave some blood to feed the vampire.[2]
