St. Jerome (c. 347 - 30 September 420) was a Catholic priest from the Balkans region of Illyria in the Roman Empire. An prolific writer and theologian, Jerome is probably best remembered for translating the Bible in Latin.
He is venerated by Christianity generally, and is a saint in the Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and Anglican denominations.
As St. Jerome was never born in the Agrippan Romealternate, the task of translating the Bible into Latin fell to others, which contributed to the differences between the Bible of that world and the one of the home timeline.[1]
