Siuntio of Kuusamo was one of the foremost theoretical sorcerers of his age. During the Derlavaian War, Siuntio and his colleagues Ilmarinen and Pekka spearheaded a project to develop a magical weapon unlike any the world had ever seen.

Siuntio is a city in southern Finland, whose language is the source of most Kuusaman names.
