Shangri-La Valley was a massive valley on Haven's one major continent and centered on the moon's equator. This meant that the valley had both the highest air pressure and mildest temperatures on the moon. To the north was the North Shield Ridge mountain range which blocked access to the northern steppe except for a pass at the most eastern end of the valley. The valley's river system emptied into the ocean at the most western end, with mountains stretching the full length on the north side.
