Scansano was a city in eastern Algarve. At the end of the Derlavaian War, Algarve became the capital of the part of Algarve under Lagoan and Kuusaman influence, with King Mainardo as its nominal ruler. The Algarvian instrument of surrender was signed by there by Mainardo.
