Saratov

Saratov is a major city in southern Russia. It is the administrative center of Saratov Oblast and a major port on the Volga River. In addition to ethnic Russians, the city also has many Tatar, Ukrainian, Jewish and German residents.

Saratov in Worldwar[]

Saratov was the target of a Race offensive in the summer of 1944. The Soviets destroyed the city and the Lizard army with an explosive-metal bomb. This incident contradicted the Race's intelligence that the USSR was not capable of developing their own atomic weapons[1] and prompted nuclear retaliation aimed at the city of Magnitogorsk.
