Sarah Päts, the first child of exiled Estonian nationalist Anton Päts and his wife Eva, was born on the Red October, which was taking them from Earth to Haven. She married a fellow Tallinn Town citizen named Konstantin Laidoner, who moved into her parents' house. Around 2095, Konstantin informed Anton that Sarah was pregnant. The Estonian colonists' subsequent alliance with the Russians, to defeat a Tatar raid, increased the unborn child's chances of survival.
