Sergeant Santos "Sandy" Amoros was the senior non-commissioned officer of Billy Cox's platoon when they were deployed onto the UCLA campus during the Roxolan invasion of 2039. While his platoon thought he wasn't a bad guy, he was definitely a sergeant and they treated him with the respect and obedience his position entailed.[1]
After the Indomitable landed, Amoros relayed Lt. Shotton's order to move up towards the spaceship and to deploy in front of Dodd Hall. He had his platoon take cover in flower beds and behind trees to await developments.[2] He called the Roxolan "teddy bears" in surprise when they first exited the Indomitable and formed two lines of musketeers but angrily ordered his platoon to open fire upon their first volley. Amoros lost the tip of a finger during the battle.[3]
