São Paulo is the capital of the State of São Paulo in the Southeast Region of Brazil. Founded by Jesuits from Portugal in 1554, São Paulo is now considered to be the most populous city in the New World, and the fourth-largest city on Earth.

Among São Paulo's contributions to culture by 2040 was a large number of fireballers, baseball pitchers who relied on pitch velocity at the expense of accuracy. One São Paulo fireballer was Adilson Bivar, who played for the Los Angeles Angels.[1]
