Rivka was the wife of Yitzkhak the cobbler in Kolomija. When word came that Sabbatean haidamacks were making their way to Kolomija, their son, Aaron, announced that he wanted to join a planned defense of the town. While Rivka silently made it clear that she opposed the plan, Yitzkhak agreed to Aaron's request, and even joined the defenders himself.
Unfortunately, the haidamacks easily overran the defenders. Yitzkhak and Aaron were killed.
