The Reconstruction Alliance was an ultra-right wing group in Israel or as Eric Katz put it, it was a feather on the tip of the right wing. The Alliance wanted to reconstruct the Third Temple and was angry the Israeli government hadn't blasted the Dome of the Rock off of the Temple Mount after the 1967 war.
In the meantime, they began to prepare for the day by constructing religious paraphilia based on various Biblical verses. This included various alters, solid gold menorahs, gold and silver tools for handling pyres and ashes of sacrifices, and vessels for religious washing and spilling sacrificial blood. All this was on display in a museum the Alliance had set up in the Jewish quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. The museum also had a large model of the Second Temple covered in gold leaf and a reconstruction of the Ark of the Covenant.
