Royal Air Force Martlesham Heath or more simply RAF Martlesham Heath is a former Royal Air Force station located 1.5 miles (2.4 km) southwest of Woodbridge, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom. It was active between 1917 and 1963, and played an important role in the development of Airborne Interception radar. For a period in 1941, No. 71 Squadron RAF was posted at RAF Martlesham Heath.
RAF Martlesham Heath in Or Even Eagle Flew[]
71 Squadron moved to RAF Martlesham Heath in April, 1941, and began flying combat missions again, much to the relief of Pilot Officer Amelia Earhart and her comrades.[1]
