Quintus Glabrio was a junior centurion in one of the three Roman cohorts commanded by Marcus Aemilius Scaurus during a "reconnaissance in force" in Gaul, and was transported to the Empire of Videssos sometime in year Zero+1200.
Although a young man and inexperienced, Glabrio's quiet competency and thoughtful insights impressed Scaurus. As such, he often had the junior officer attend his planning councils despite his relatively low rank.
He fought with the legion throughout the disasters of first part of the War Against the Yezda. During this time, it was revealed that he was a homosexual. He and Doctor Gorgidas, another closeted homosexual, soon became lovers.
He was killed during the attack on the royal palaces, part of the Sphrantzes Coup d'état.
