Providence is the capital and the most populous city of the United States state of Rhode Island.
Providence in The Disunited States of America[]
After Rhode Island was annexed to Massachusetts in 1837, Providence was "liberated" by Massachusetts forces. Among the Providentials who were not to keen on this "liberation" was a man who tried to assassinate Massachusetts Consul (or whatever he called himself) John Quincy Adams.
Providence in Southern Victory[]
George Enos Jr. completed his naval training in Providence in 1941, the first year of the Second Great War.
The Providence Naval Yard was the target of a people bomb attack in mid-1944.
