Patagonia map

Patagonia is a geographic region containing the southernmost portion of South America. Located in Argentina and Chile, it comprises the southernmost portion of the Andes mountains to the west and south, and plateau and low plains to the east. East of the Andes, it lies south of the Rio Colorado. Westward, it includes the territories south of 39º except for the Chiloé Archipelago.

Patagonia in Curious Notions[]

In the alternate designated as 3477 by Crosstime Traffic, Patagonia was one of several isolated and inhospitable regions used by the German Feldgendarmerie as large outdoor prisons. People sent there were rarely heard from again.[1]
